10 Funny & Interesting Tales from Bollywood

10 Funny & Interesting Tales from Bollywood

There are many interesting facts about Bollywood which at first shocked us, but then we did get over that feeling. We have enlisted quite a few facts here of course by adding a bit of masala where we could, so as to make them more 'interesting'. Here it goes:

1) If you were to check up about Uday Chopra on the internet it shows he is a screen writer too. He apparently is the writer of 'Pyaar Impossible'. Now we have two reasons why the movie was a flop and both are connected to one person.

2) Cristiano Ronaldo has kissed Bipasha Basu. Well the funny thing that happened later was that Bipasha confronted the media saying that they both are just 'friends'. Well seeing the photograph we can just say one the thing, 'the bond is quite strong'.

3) Tom Cruise was going to be cast as 'Raj' in the iconic movie 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', we are thinking of the kinds of consequences it would have had. First of all they would have to make Tom, understand that after the song 'zara jhoom lu main' there is a one night stand situation but you cannot do it because of Indian moral values. Moreover, the English translation of the movie would have been something like 'Hearty people will take the bride away'.

4) A Wednesday is one of those few movies which had a Hollywood remake and turned out to be a big flop. So, in the end, we learn that if you want to copy movies and want the remake to be successful then copy them from the south (Example - Singham, Wanted etc.).

5) Ghajini was the first movie to cross the 100 crore mark while 3 Idiots is the first movie to create the 200 crore club, also Dhoom 3 is the only Bollywood movie to cross the 500 crore line in terms of foreign collection. Interestingly, all three movies belong to Aamir Khan, and then people cast Salman and Shahrukh to get their movies hit…

6) 'LOC:Kargil' is the longest movie worldwide with a run time of 4 hours and 25 minutes. It also had one of the greatest star cast any film ever had with actors ranging from Ajay Devgan to Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt to Abhishek Bachchan. This list is actually quite long!

7) 'Mughal-e-Azam' was a trilingual movie - with all scenes shot thrice in Hindi, Tamil and English, but was released only in Hindi as the Tamil version failed miserably and the English version was aborted almost immediately.

8) 'Silsila' happens to be the only movie where Amitabh Bachchan plays the younger brother and Shashi Kapoor the elder, in all other movies where the duo played the roles of each other's brother had Amitabh as the elder brother.

9) The longest song in Bollywood has a run time of 20 minutes; it is the song 'Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon' in the film with the same title and has been shown in three installments in the overall movie.

10) Amitabh Bachchan is so punctual that many a times he used to open the gates of Filmistan Studios himself for he used to reach the place before the watchman or gatekeeper. Maybe it's because of such reasons that he is a legend today.
