11 Bollywood Celebs Who Made a Mark in Hollywood

The talent of Bollywood stars is not just confined to Indian cinema. Many B-town celebs are known faces in the international circuit and have worked in several foreign projects. They made their presence felt globally and gave us every reason to be proud of. The latest one to join the bandwagon is actor Ali Fazal, who will be seen in a cameo role in 'Fast and Furious 7'.

1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The former beauty queen is a known face at various international film festivals. She also proved her acting skills and won millions of hearts in Hollywood with films like 'Bride and Prejudice', 'Mistress of Spices', Provoked: a true story' and 'Pink Panther 2′.


2. Amitabh Bachchan

The superstar of Bollywood made his international debut with Leonardo DiCaprio's 'The Great Gatsby'. He played the role of a Jewish gambler.


3. Irrfan

Irrfan has acted in several Hollywood films and has always been appreciated for his brilliant acting skills. He has acted in films like 'The Namesake', 'Life Of Pi' and others. He even played a baddie in the 2012 film 'The Amazing Spiderman'. And of course, he was also a part of Danny Boyle's Academy award winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire'. He will also be seen in the upcoming film 'Jurassic World'.


4. Tabu

Tabu has acted in international films like Mira Nair's 'The Namesake' and Ang Lee's 'Life Of Pi'.


5. Anil Kapoor

The 'jhakaas' actor played a quiz-master in Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire', which was based on Vikas Swaroop's novel 'Q & A'. He also seen in Tom Cruise's 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' . He also played a prominent role in one of the seasons of the hit American TV series '24'.


6. Anupam Kher

The National award winning actor has featured in Hollywood films like 'Silver Linings Playbook', 'Bride and Prejudice', 'Bend It Like Beckham' and several others.


7. Bipasha Basu

The actress appeared in the film 'The Lovers' opposite Josh Hartnett. The film is the tale of an impossible romance set against the backdrop of the first Anglo-Maratha war across two time periods and continents and centered on four characters—a British officer in the 18th century India, the Indian woman he falls deeply in love with, and a present-day American marine biologist and his wife.


8. Om Puri

The veteran played a cameo in Oscar winner film 'Gandhi' in 1982, before essaying the role of a paranormal scholar in the Jack Nicholson-starrer 'Wolf' in 1994. He has also starred in 'The Ghost and the Darkness' and British comedy film 'East is East'.


9. Kabir Bedi

The actor played the villain's aide Gobinda who battled Roger Moore from start to finish, in the James Bond film 'Octopussy'. He remains the only Bollywood actor to appear in a James Bond film.


10. Amrish Puri

The late actor is best known for his role of Mola Ram in Steven Spielberg's Hollywood film 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' (1984).


11. Naseeruddin Shah
