11 Male Performances to Watch Out For in 2015

Ever seen any award show on the small screen? We all know which award we all curiously wait for- The Award for the Best Actor Male. And it is due to this curiosity of ours, it is the very last award to be given at the award ceremonies.

And very much like award shows, even our movies hugely depend on the performances of our lead actors, though not all of them are able to perform well only at the box office. They make a dashing entry, they sing, they dance, they romance, they fight and they win in the climax.

So, let us look at the actors from whom we expect some mind-blowing performances, minus the box-office expectations of their movies!

1. Varun Dhawan:

varun dhawan

Tagged for his exceptional over-acting skills in 'Main Tera Hero' and 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' the previous year, Jr.Dhawan finally seems to be going the right way with the dark-suspense thriller 'Badlapur'. And going by the trailer, we surely feel this is one of the most awaited performances of the year.

2. Dhanush:

dhanuah

Even those who had not even heard of him before 'Kolaveri Di' and 'Raanjhana' happened ended up becoming his fans with his very first Hindi movie. And he is back, playing another character-oriented role along with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. We are surely expecting another excellent performance for him.

3. Amitabh Bachchan:

amitabh bachchan

When it comes to doing any kind of role, Big B truly makes the word 'Shahenshah' proud of him. And with 'Shamitabh' (he looks amazing in the trailers),'Piku' and 'Wazir' lined up for him, we are sure the old-man is again going to prove he is still young at heart and can give competition to the 20-something newcomers in Bollywood when it comes to acting!

4. Ranbir Kapoor:

ranbir kapoor

It is going to be Ranbir-mania this year, Literally! 'Bombay Velvet', 'Roy', 'Jagga Jassoos' and 'Tamasha'- all releasing in 2015!

5. Emraan Hashmi:

emraan hashmi

While the box-office collections of his latest films beg to differ, the audience and critics appreciate the man's bold move from being known as the 'serial kisser' to doing variety of roles. We would see him in a serious role in the much-talked about international film 'Tigers', then in 'Mr.X' he would be playing what we all love him for- The Bhatt-camp hero who smooches his heroine in a mystery-thriller engaging plot, and then romancing Vidya Balan once again in 'Humaari Adhoori Kahaani'.

6. Akshay Kumar:

akshay kumar

With his move from the widely-panned comedy genre to serious movies like 'Special 26' and 'BABY', expectations from Kumar have seen a huge rise! While we do not expect anything from him in the Prabhu Deva-movie 'Singh Is Bling', we are hopeful of watching him go intense in 'Main Gabbar' and 'Brothers'.

7. Shah Rukh Khan:

shah rukh khan

It has been four years since we last saw Shah Rukh Khan show his versatile and brilliant acting skills. It's high time he forgets about the box-office competition his rivals have been giving and get back to what he does best; and surely the man knows this too! His next 'Fan' and 'Raees' are expected to show us another brilliant side of King Khan's acting chops.

8. Rajkummar Rao:

rajkummar rao

The talented young man would be seen along with Emraan and Vidya in 'Humaari Adhoori Kahaani' and later would be seen at his charming best wooing Hema Malini and Rakul Preet Singh in Ramesh Sippy's comeback movie 'Shimla Mirchi', And when you hear the name “Rajkummar Rao”, you know the National Award-winner is worth all the expectations.

9. Sushant Singh Rajput:

sushant singh rajput

The flavour of the season! Open any channel and you would see Sushant in every second ad. The guy would be seen playing 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy' and then Indian Cricket Team Captain 'M.S. Dhoni'.

10. Shahid Kapoor:

shahid kapoor

The best performer of the previous year. With 'Haider', we are sure he has learnt the art of matured performances and not commit the mistake of choosing another 'R...Rajkummar'. And hence, we are sure Shahid would put up the romantic act along Aliaa Bhatt in 'Shaandaar' with maturity and confidence.

11. Randeep Hooda:

randeep hooda

Undoubtedly another terrific performer from the previous year, but sadly an underrated actor. He would be seen playing the famous murderer Charles Sobhraj in the upcoming 'Main Aur Charles'. And going by the way Randeep keeps getting with every movie, we are sure he is going to rock here too.

And like every year, we are sure some of the actors who are not here in the list might even end up being the surprise performers of the year and rise! Wishing them all, lots of luck!
