Claps For- Great humour, great fun. And the bromance between the lead actors.
Slaps For- Being way too similar to the first one.
Story- Same as the first part. But, in case you haven't seen the first part, two cops are sent to college for a secret mission, and they bumble their way to solve the case.
Direction- Directors Chistopher Miller, and Phil Lord, have just rehashed the last part, which was a surprise hit of 2012. The fact that officers Schmidt and Jenko's new mission is exactly like their last, is not lost on them, as they repeatedly mention it in the movie itself. However, they could have made a fresh new film, instead of just playing Youtube videos back to back, to qualify as a 'movie'. That being said, the jokes are funny, and will make you laugh, especially if you are not a Youtube person.
Acting- Channing Tatum steals the show here, with his exemplary comic timing complimenting his great looks. Jonah Hill does well, but looks stuck in playing the same kind of roles over and over again. Ice Cube, as their boss, is hilarious, but gets too little screen time.
Combo On Offer- If you liked the first part, you will definitely go for this one. But incidentally, this movie holds more value for those who haven't seen the first part. All the gags in the movie will have a certain novelty for them. And yeah, this movie has the most hilarious closing credit sequence of all time.
Verdict- If you are in the mood for some light hearted fun, this movie is for you. We give it a thumbs up, just for the entertainment value. Its not going to win any Oscars, but its pure, unadulterated fun.
