It's been three days but the celebrations just haven't ended yet. And why should they? Indian Cricket Team defeated arch-rival Pakistan Cricket Team in their very first World Cup 2015 Match. Cricket in India is not just a passion but a religion. A game with which every generation connects. A game that has no limits…from kids playing in the narrow streets to the players bringing glory to the country in big stadiums.


And in India, it is not just cricket that is considered as the one above all. There is another religion that rules over every Indian- Cinema.


So, while Team India prepares for its another big match against South Africa, we list out the 5 best Bollywood films that are all about Cricket, Cricket and Cricket!

Set in the era of the British Raj in India, the film is about how a bunch of villagers who learn the ABCD of cricket and defeat the British in order to get their taxes for three years cancelled! Certainly one of the best commercial flicks by Nagesh Kukunoor about a deaf and mute village boy who is passionate about bowling and his journey from playing in the fields of his village to playing for Team India. An inspiring, motivating and entertaining movie with Naseeruddin Shah and Shreyas Talpade's heart-winning performances as the cherry on the top.


3.Jannat:

Heard the saying “There is a lot more to things than what our eyes see”? Well, that's what this Emraan Hashmi starrer cult film is all about. The movie deals with the ugly side of cricket, touching upon the issue of match fixing.


4.Kai Po Che:

As we said before, Cricket is an emotion that resides amongst all the age groups and everywhere. This movie is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel '3 Mistakes Of My Life' and shows how a man, who could not make it big as a cricketer and just ends up being a state-level cricket player, trains a gifted child to make him the best batsman. A heat-touching tale not just about cricket but various other issues prevailing in the society but with cricket as its big theme!


5.Patiala House:

The movie from where Akshay Kumar finally decided to experiment with his roles and enter new and challenging genres. The movie is loosely based on cricketer Monty Panesar. It is about how an Indian bowler gets selected for England's Cricket Team but faces opposition from his father and his fight to pursue his dreams and make his father proud of what he does. Indeed a touching one that gave us a new side of Akshay's acting abilities.
