7 Bollywood films which dealt with the concept of Invisibility

'Mr X' is all set to hit the big screens, on 17th April this week where we will see Emraan Hashmi in a new avatar, this time possessing some super powers. The film has created quite a buzz among the audience. Some even compared it to the Hollywood film 'Hollow Man' but, then this is not the first time when the theme of 'invisibility' have been explored in Bollywood.


We bring to you 7 films which dealt with invisible powers.


1. 'Mr X'

The upcoming film has Emraan Hashmi essaying the role of a good cop who turns into a vigilante after an unfortunate incident. But then, like a phoenix who rises from the ashes, he sets out seek revenge from the culprits. However this time, he is bestowed with powers of invisibility.


2. 'Mr India'

A cult classic, this film is still remembered for Sridevi's 'Miss Hawa Hawaii' act and of course, the iconic dialogue- 'Mogambo khush hua'.


3. 'Gayab'

Tusshar Kapoor played the role of an invisible man in this 2004 supernatural thriller.


4. Chamatkar

When Sunder (Shah Rukh Khan) loses everything, he seeks refuge in a graveyard, where he befriends a ghost, Marco (Naseeruddin Shah). The ghost is invisible and inaudible to all except Sunder.


5. 'Mr X' (1957)

Way back before, there was another film in 1957 titled 'Mr X' which was directed by Nanabhai Bhatt ( father of director-producer, Vikram Bhatt ). It starred Ashok Kumar, Nalini Jaywant, Pran and Johnny Walker.


6. 'Professor Ki Padosan'

Sanjeev Kumar played the role of a professor who, in order to escape his wife's wrath after she discovers his affair with their attractive neighbour, consumes a portion that makes him invisible


7. 'Elaan'

Most of us might never even have heard about this 1977 flick. It starred Vinod Khanna, Rekha and Vinod Mehra. In this film, an old scientist invents a ring that makes people invisible when they put it in their mouth. Sounds pretty hilarious!
