7 times when Bollywood films went 'sporty'

Cricket is considered as 'God' of all games in India. In fact, many films have even been made on this subject. And then, there are some films, which focused on other games as well.


Today, we bring to you, 7 films which were sports-based. Which ones do you like the most?


1. Lagaan

The people of a small village in Victorian India stake their future on a game of cricket against their ruthless British rulers. This film starring Aamir Khan, was a huge blockbuster and India's official entry to the Oscars.

3. Mary Kom

A chronicle of the life of Indian boxer Mary Kom (played by Priyanka Chopra) who went through several hardships before, accomplishing her ultimate dream.


4. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

The film was a biopic on Indian athlete, Milkha Singh, also known as, the 'Flying Sikh'. Farhan Akhtar played the title role.


5. Paan Singh Tomar

The film was the story of Paan Singh Tomar (Irrfan), an Indian athlete and seven-time national steeplechase champion who, later, becomes one of the most feared dacoits in Chambal Valley.


6. Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal

7. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar
