Today, we talk about the two April releases on the basis of their Trailers one of which was released just few hours back - Bhoothnath Returns. And the other movie is Jal. These are two very different movies. While one attempts to tickle your funny bone involving a ghost and politics, the other speaks about the catastrophes of a village without a single drop of water.
Bhootnath Returns directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Bhushan Kumar, features Amitabh Bachchan in this sequel to the 2008 Bhoothnath film. This time, he shares screen space with Boman Irani. Here, too, he dons the character of a 'Bhoot' but this time he is sent to earth to scare kids. The line “Elections circus ki tarah hoti hai jahan joker sirf timepass ke liye hota hai ticket kharidi jati hai sher ko dekhne ke liye†echoes in the trailer.
Bhoothnath Returns will be released on 11th April this election. But we think, “Trailer hit toh picture hit aur gaana hit toh picture super hit.†So, will this sequel prove to be better and funnier than the first?
The trailer of the other movie Jal which was released on 16th January, is a complete opposite of the fun loving Bhoothnath Returns. Directed by Girish Malik starring Purab Kohli in the lead and produced by DAR Motion Pictures, the film is set in the Rann of Kutch and tells the story of a young lad Jal, the man who can find water in the desert trying to solve the drought problem in his village. This is interrupted by the entry of some foreigners who wish to extract water using modern methods to prevent endangered species of birds from dying. “Iyya aadmi ke liye paani nahi hai pankhiyo ke liye kahan se milega?†From a parched land, where water is thicker than blood, comes an epic journey of love, lust and thirst slated to release on 4th April, 2014.
Both completely different genres of films, each has a story to tell. Which one will be a Clap or a Slap? The stories will unfold in April, 2014.
