Actors from Bangistan Who Won Our Hearts

Actors from Bangistan Who Won Our Hearts

By now you all must be aware what ‘Bangistan’ is! It is that land in this world, where anytime a bomb may detonate. Why? Because the place is the residence of too many aspiring terrorists!

And even though we hate terrorism and terrorists, Bollywood’s fascination for the theme just doesn’t come to an end! While many actors have played a terrorist on-screen, there are some who truly won our hearts with their performance.

And needless to say, given their profession, these terrorists come from one land- Bangistan!

So let us have a look at those Bangistanis who played the role of a terrorist with perfection.

1. Aamir Khan:

aamir khan fanaa

He is called Mr. Perfectionist for a reason, and he proved that once again in ‘Fanaa’. While the audience is used to watching SRK romance with Kajol on-screen, he gave his romantic outing with Kajol a different tone and a certain amount of maturity.

He came across as the perfect flirt and lover-boy, and later shocked all by revealing his true identity during the interval. And his constant struggle between completing his mission and loving the family he always dreamt of truly made us fall for him.

2. Hrithik Roshan:

hrithik roshan mission kashmir

His debut film showed him playing the true-blue romantic hero, and then came his second film ‘Fiza’ where he delivered a completely different and brilliant performance as a terrorist! The pain of an innocent and full-of-life boy getting mind-washed into a suffering and angry terrorist left all with tears in their eyes!

And not to forget, he played a militant yet again in his third film ‘Mission Kashmir’ breaking the stereotype and coming across as the muscled and intense angry man who has a soft heart for the man and woman who gave him shelter after his family was killed in an encounter.

3. Saif Ali Khan:

saif ali khan kurbaan

Here was a charming and romantic gentleman every woman would like to go out with. And he was perhaps the perfect man Kareena’s character could have found. However, as the movie unfolds, we get to know the real man behind that adorable smile. While Saif is known for his boyish charm and cheesy roles, here was one film where he showed he can even be the intense and brooding man who changes his colors like a chameleon.

4. Manisha Koirala:

manisha koirala jihaad

A mysterious girl with a gorgeous face, who keeps coming back to you and rejecting you after a few moments of togetherness every time. What she wants is unknown, why she has so much of anger in her eyes in unknown. She is the magnet you just cannot stop yourself from getting attached to, but she is the danger who will always land you into some trouble!

Yes, that’s Manisha Koirala in ‘Dil Se…’; she played the silent and angry terrorist who has desires like every another girl but always lets her dream of ‘Jihaad’ overshadow those desires.

5. John Abraham:

john abraham newyork

Undoubtedly the best performance by John till date, his Sameer Shaikh in ‘New York’ was like any other jovial guy you would meet in college. However, unfortunate circumstances lead him to become a man he never imagined- a Terrorist. Perhaps that was the only way he found of redeeming his lost pride in the society and taking his revenge! His torture in the FBI Cell and the pain he and his family went through made us all teary eyed! And for the first time, we all felt bad when a terrorist died.

While some directors make their terrorist-themed movie an emotional affair, some keep it as dark and raw as possible. However, here is one movie that makes fun of it along with a social message. And we are hoping that after this week, we would be able to add Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat in the list too, as the two adorable wannabe- terrorists!
