Star cast- Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton
Claps for: Tricking us into getting very excited with the trailer
Slaps for: Tricking us..
Popcorn refill: Anytime you like..
Story: This is the story of a doll that is haunted by a demonic spirit. Throw in an expected back story, convenient clues from the demons and a predictable end to complete this story.
Performances: Annabelle Wallis was decent in her performance and played her character with ease. Ward Horton was okay with his performance but failed to make his presence felt in the film.
Direction: John R. Leonetti fails in holding our attention as the film progresses. It lacked that special something that keeps you hooked on to the story. Though the film begins on an interesting note, the director fails to build that anticipation and thrill required for a horror flick; especially when compared to 'The Conjuring'.
Combo-on-offer: This film offers you the following combo-
Cheap thrills + Long wait until the ghost finally shows up = Watch it at your own risk
Final Verdict: We give this film Slaps for not living up to the movie that made us want to watch this- 'The Conjuring'.
