Story: Avengers: Age Of Ultron opens with a mid-battle sequence of the team fighting European country Sokovia. The Avengers are waging a war against Baron Strucker who now has the Sceptre which Loki was after in the prequel. With the sceptre, Strucker has been wielding to experiment on humans. His experiments have yielded him two strong allies and they are twins Pietro and Wanda. While Pietro has a super fast superhuman speed, Wanda can play mind tricks and has the power to throw energy blasts. In this war stricken Sokovia, the job of the Avengers is first to find the Sceptre. During this mission, Tony Stark aka Iron Man manages to lay hands on the Sceptre and secretly transfer it to the Avengers base.Thinking that another mission has been accomplished, the Avengers decide to have a party to celebrate the retrieval of the Sceptre but what lies ahead is one mighty battle.
Performance: Amongst the performances, Tony Stark aka Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr steals the show. He is his usual quirky self carrying the notion that he owns the world. His entry is welcomed with hoots, whistles and CLAPS in theaters!
Mark Ruffalo who essays the character of Hulk aka Dr. Banner does a great job too. You almost get the chills when you see Hulk rumbling with anger and at the same time emotional. Chris Evans as Captain America, will leave you awestruck with those hot looks. Chris does a fine job and is truly the Captain of this team as he leads, assigns and even controls Stark’s antics. Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow is sleek and sexy. She pulls off the action sequences with quite an ease. Scarlett strikes the right balance as a dutiful avenger and a smart girlfriend to Banner. Jeremy Renner as the Hawkeye impresses us with his in depth performance. Chris Hemsworth plays Thor and you literally swoon over him. He walks in style, has his powerful dialogues as heavy as his hammer. James Spader as Ultron is wicked and mean but worth every penny of yours! Paul Bettany, Aaron Taylor, Elizabeth Olsen do a decent job in a film that already has some legends working in.
Direction: Director Joss Whedon manages to balance the story and VFX in this superhero flick. While many may be disappointed with the fact that the original Avengers had a better storyline, the VFX and the entire execution of the movie truly makes up. It is spectacular, grand and worth every penny you spend.
Combo-on-Offer: Action Thriller
Verdict: We give the film Thunderous Claps for its spectacular VFX and mind blowing execution. A Must Watch!
