Star Cast: Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate and Jay Hernandez
Director: Jon Lucas and Scot Moore
Producer: Bill Block and Suzanne Todd
Claps For: Performances, Humour
Slaps For: India’s Censor Board for beeping every possible word they think is not suitable for the audience.
What’s New: Nothing
Popcorn Refill: Interval
Plot: Tired of their routine responsibilities as a mother; Amy Mitchell, Kiki and Carla decide to live their lives the way they want to in order to get back their sense of satisfaction, achievement and freedom- even if it gets them the tag of 'Bad Moms'!
Performances: Surprisingly, it isnt the ‘Bad Mom’s but their arch-rival Christina Applegate who delivers a crackling performance as the “bitch” of the flick that will make you hate her throughout the film.
But that doesn’t take away the thunder of the ‘Bad Moms’ Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn who are equally wonderful as the best friends who find each other during tough times and become each other’s soul mates. It is the chemistry between the three, which will leave you mesmerized and make you root for them.
Direction: Jon Lucas and Scot Moore, quite thankfully, do not end up making this as another chic-flick or a ‘The Hangover’ with a female cast. They make sure it does not cross that fine line of being misinterpreted as something else and let it be a sweet and funny flick made for mothers all across the globe.
Filled with motherly love, drama regarding the PTA elections and school politics, pinch of romance and loads of gags and humor while the mothers have a ball as the ‘Bad Moms’; the flick moves at its own pleasant speed and doesn’t disappoint even for a moment.
Having said that, the movie might offend a few men out there for it does manage to take a dig at them and their ability to run a home or handle kids while just act as good-for-nothing poeple.
Combo-On-Offer: Drama + Comedy
Verdict: We give the ‘Bad Moms’ CLAPS for being a flick that every mother can go and watch, and feel proud about themselves!
