Trust Sachin-Jigar to come up with something exceptional every single time they compose music for a film. While their last album 'Happy Ending' was a peppy, soulful and different, we sit down to review their latest offering in Varun Dhawan's 'Badlapur', directed by Sriram Raghvan and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
Jee Karda: Penned by Dinesh Vijan and Priya Saraiya, Jee Karda is a powerful heartbreak number, sung extremely well by Divya Kumar of Maston Ka Jhund & G Phaad Ke fame. Divya's strong vocals easily convey the betrayal, pain, revenge and agony in the song. A personal favourite!
Jeena Jeena: Sachin-Jigar's next composition Jeena Jeena makes for a soulful hear as singer Atif Aslam, who returns to Bollywood's musical scene after almost a year, does full justice to it. This simple tune clubbed with apt lyrics by Dinesh Vijan and Priya Saraiya, is a must hear.
Judaai: If you loved the other two songs, then Judaai is just an icing on the cake! Sung by Arijit Singh and Rekha Bharadwaj, Judaai is a beautiful separation number with sensitive lyrics. A sure shot winner.
Badla Badla: Sung beautifully by Vishal Dadlani, Jasleen Royal, Suraj Jagan and Priya Saraiya, it is a brutal, hard hitting number which will freeze you with its lyrics. Watch the song with Varun Dhawan's visuals, and you will exactly feel the agony and pain that Sachin-Jigar want to convey.
The Rock version of Jee Karda and remix version of Judaai are done up well, and can be a good second hear.
Claps Or Slaps: We give thunderous Claps to Sachin-Jigar for their unconventional yet striking music in 'Badlapur'. The songs are sure to catch the fancy of the audience and will act as a catalyst in the success of the film.
Hot Favourites: Our hot pick is undoubtedly Divya Kumar's Jee Karda and Arijit Singh-Rekha Bharadwaj's Judaai.
