Big Budget Films to Watch Out for in 2015

Big Stars + Big Director + Big Producer = Big Release.

Sadly, almost all big releases of last year were a disappointment as they compromised on the content to make big bucks at the box office.

Hopefully, this year would be a grand one as the big-budget releases promise to be high on content as well as performances. So here's the list of the big-budget movies releasing this year.

1. Tevar:

The first big release of 2014. After a great 2014, Arjun Kapoor is back to woo his audience. What we are really looking forward to is the versatile Manoj Bajpayee who plays the villain.

2. Alone:

Television hottie Karan Singh Grover makes an erotic debut along with not just one, but two Bipasha's in this horror film! And horror film has always been a beloved genre!

3. Baby:

The Jodi of 'Special 26' i.e.; Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher and Neeraj Pandey, strikes back with another promising storyline along with action-packed scenes.

4. Dolly Ki Doli:

Sonam Kapoor will be seen playing a con-woman in this one. National Award winner Rajkummar Rao will also be seen along with the adorable Varun Sharma who was appreciated by all in 'Fukrey' as Choocha.

5. Shamitabh:

National award-winners Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush come together along with the gorgeous Akshara Hasan in a unique story. And we know it very well that R.Balki would never give a bad script to Big B.

6. Wazir:

Going by the teaser, that surprised us when we went to watch 'PK', we are sure this movie is going to be one intense and intelligent one. It's about a cop (played by Farhan) who takes help from Amitabh Bachchan to solve a case by playing chess. And we do know Farhan never chooses a bad script.

7. Roy:

Can we rename the movie to '3 Hotties'? Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez and the very charming Ranbir Kapoor. We are already curious to know what the movie is all about!

8. Badlapur:

Seen the trailer? Varun Dhawan in completely new avatar. Huma Qureshi looking stunning, as usual. And Nawazuddin playing the antagonist. The movie promises to be another dark yet amazing film.

9. Phantom:

The much-delayed Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer directed by Kabir Khan would finally release in 2015! Saif needs a big hit and this might just be the one!

10. Detective Byomkesh Bakshi:

Sushant Singh Rajput charmed everyone even with his special appearance in 'PK'. We are surely looking forward to see the famous detective live again on the big screen!

11. Bombay Velvet:

Anurag Kashyap's ambitious project starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar. The movie is one of the most awaited films of 2015.

12. Tamasha:

Another Ranbir Kapoor biggie gearing up for release next year. It marks the return of the sizzling duo of Ranbir and Deepika and also, Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir who gave us 'Rockstar' previously.

13. Jagga Jasoos:

Oh man! Ranbir fans are in for a treat! 4th Ranbir Kapoor release in 2015! A detective movie directed by the 'Barfi!' director also starring 'good friend' Katrina Kaif.

14. Welcome Back:

welcome back

The much-delayed sequel to 'Welcome' we all have been waiting for to laugh our hearts out all over again. It has an ensemble cast of John Abraham, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Shruti Haasan, Shiney Ahuja and Naseeruddin Shah.

15. Dil Dhadakne Do:

Zoya Akhtar returns with another star-studded flick! The last time was a road trip. This time, it is on a cruise! A family drama starring Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Farhan Akhtar, Rahul Bose, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. Fhew….

16. ABCD 2:

abcd 2

Sequel to the dance-film 'ABCD' starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, the movie promises to be a treat for all dance lovers!

17. Fan:

SRK in a double role. He would be seen playing his own fan! The biggest YRF film of 2015. We are hoping SRK would re-create the magic that had been missing in 'Happy New Year'.

18. Raees:

Another SRK biggie, directed by Rahul Dholakia, where he would be seen playing a Gujrati don. While there is still confusion regarding who would play the tough cop to chase SRK, the sizzling Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has been finalized as the leading girl!

19. Bajrangi Bhaijaan:

bajranji bhaijaan

As the name suggests, the movie stars none other than the bhaijaan, Salman Khan! Bas..yahi naam kaafi hai…RIP Box Office Records!

20. Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo:

prem rattan dhan paayo

After 5 years of nonsense masala-action movies, Salman Khan returns to what made him a family-entertainer and public's favourite- playing PREM. Yes, finally we would see Sooraj Barjatya and Salman together re-creating their magic in a family drama.

21. Brothers:

It's going to be Akshay Kumar vs Siddharth Malhotra, who play brothers in the movie.

22. Gabbar:

Another Akshay Kumar biggie. Every time Akshay does an entertainer, he faces wrath. But every time he does a serious and intense genre, he is appreciated as well as the movie! After 'Baby', we are going to see him play a tough officer again fighting against corruption and narcotics.

23. Bajirao Mastani:

bajirao mastani

After years of delay and hunt for the right actors, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious 'Bajirao Mastani' is finally happening. Expectations have doubled ever since 'Ram Leela' and hence, we are expecting a lot more from this Ranveer and Deepika starrer along with Priyanka Chopra. Also, Ranveer would be seen sporting a bald look in the movie!

24. Fitoor:

Abhishek Kapoor returns to direction after 'Rock On' and 'Kai Po Che' adapting Charles Dickens' novel 'Great Expectations'. The movie has the fresh pairing of Aditya Roy Kapur opposite hottie Katrina Kaif along with Rekha.

25. Humari Adhoori Kahaani:

26. Jazbaa:

Aishwarya Rai returns to the big screen with this film co-starring Irrfan Khan and directed by Sanjay Gupta. The movie is touted as a big one since it marks the comeback of Aish.

27. Singh Is Bling:

singh is bling

Akshay Kumar dons the turban again after 'Singh Is King'. This time, it's for the 'Rowdy Rathore' director Prabhu Deva. Starring opposite him is the gorgeous Kriti Sanon. We are sure this is going to be a big one.

28. Mr.X:

mr x

After experimenting with other genres and various producers, Emraan returns to the Bhatt-camp in a never-seen-before avatar.

29. Shaandaar:

Another fresh pairing we are looking forward to- Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. 'Shaandaar' promises to be a family entertainer about a Sindhi wedding in London. And guess who is directing it? Vikas Bahl who directed the beautiful 'Queen' last year.

Also, this year we wouldn't see Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan in lead roles as the two are busy with their respective big budget 2016 ventures!
