Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is most definitely among the top ten most eagerly anticipated movies for a vast majority of the world's population.
The plot is simple enough; a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by the ape Caesar is threatened by a small group of humans who survived the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
Now, for those of us who have been waiting for this movie, it appears to be an accomplishment well worth the wait.
With the war between humans and apes reaching an incredible level of intensity, Dawn Of The Planet of the Apes promises to take the franchise even higher than where the last installment, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes left off.
Directed by Matt Reeves and starring Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, and Keri Russell, the new lineup of actors brings a needed change in the human faces.
The apes, this time, are smarter, and deadlier than they were before.
Who will prevail, the humans or the apes? It doesn't look too good for the humans, we might add.
We just have to wait and see.
