'Dilwale' Music Review: A mixed bag with a twist of romance and some foot-tapping songs!
Rohit Shetty's films are known more for their high octane scenes and cars rather than the music (OK..Chennai Express is an exception to some extent). However this time his 'Dilwale' gang comprises of our favourite SRK-Kajol and the young guns Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, So naturally everyone is curious to know more about its musical side.

So let's have a look whether the music of this film deserves CLAPS or SLAPS!

Music- Pritam
Lyrics- Amitabh Bhattacharya

Gerua

Singers: Arijit Singh, Antara Mitra
Our take: Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol romancing in the beautiful locales of Iceland. It just can't get better than this! The 'Gerua' song was already a hot buzz before its release and when you have the 'king of love ballads' Arijit Singh crooning then you know that a memorable song is coming up. Guess what! This time he has the soothing voice of Antara Mitra for company and together they spell 'magic'. (PS I was already listening to this love track 'ON THE LOOP' while writing this piece! Because SRK-Kajol+ Arijit Singh = <3)

Manma Emotion Jaage Re

Singers: Amit Mishra, Anushka Manchanda, Antara Mishra
Our take: All guys and girls out there, you just can't miss this 'ROCKING' song. Time to show off your swagger moves and groove on this addictive hip-hop anthem. The funky loud beats lend a energetic flavour, top it with Anushka's rap and voila! you get the coolest song of the season. Afterall 'Saiyyan Mera Desi Typically Saiyyan'!

Janam Janam

Singers: Arijit Singh, Antara Mitra
Our take: My personal favourite from the lot. The first time I heard the glimpses of this song in 'Dilwale' trailer, this one left me instantly hooked. A strangely haunting composition, Arijit Singh belts a melodious number that has L-O-V-E written all over it!

Tukur Tukur

Singers: Arijit Singh
Our take: A track that will immediately transport you to those pristine white beaches of Goa. This one is zesty but sadly it lacks some memorable lyrics that could have made it even more enjoyable.

Daayre

Singers: Arijit Singh
Our Take: Next comes an emotional number called 'Daayre' in the voice of Arijit Singh. However this one fails to grow on you as you must have heard similar songs in the past.

Premika

Singers: Benny Dayal, Kanika Kapoor
Our Take: Heavy Beats a la retro style and you have Pritam and Kanika Kapoor singing 'Premika'. This one might just end up being a favourite among the youth.

Dilwale (Theme)

Singers: Pritam, Arijit Singh
Our Take: This instrumental number begins with soft flute piece before it picks up pace and then bingo, you have Arijit Singh's lines and DJ Chetas pulling off a spin!

Hot Favourites: Our hot picks from the film's album are Gerua, Manma Emotion Jaage Re and Janam Janam.

Claps Or Slaps: We give the music of 'CLAPS' for bringing back the 'season of love'.
