The team of 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' recently participated in an event that aimed at celebrating the spirit of the common man. This event was perfectly planned as it was held near the well known R.K Laxman's Common Man Statue, which is positioned at the Worli Sea Face.
The popular Indian cartoon, The Common Man symbolizes the hopes, aspirations and struggles of an average Indian through a cleverly put comic strip. The team of 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' decided to pay an ode to the statue as the film also revolves around the story of a common man. The first song of the film "Tod de Kataar" was released at this event. The upbeat song has an equally frolic video.
Director Ravindra Gautam commented on the song as he said, "Titled 'break the line, break the queue' this fast-paced number is a complete ode to the man who needs to break out of the line to do what is unimaginable off him and put an end to his unexciting existence."
Present at this event were Anupam Kher, Abhinav Shukla, Ravindra Gautam, Neha Dhupia, Divyendu Sharma, Aditi Sharma, Manu Rishi and Ram Sampath, who make up the entire team of 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami'.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher commented, "It was wonderful to release our song at the statue of R.K.Laxmans creation of Common Man. The film is about the extraordinary struggle & courage of an ordinary man. Thematically both blended very well."
This film is scheduled for release on the 10th of October. 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' is produced by Abhinav Shukla and directed by Ravindra Gautam.
