Happy New Year- “You love me? You love me not?”

After the release of Happy New Year it has been proven yet again that King Khan is magic. Even though many give negative comments about the film, there's no denying that the numbers just keep increasing at the box-office. There must be some reason why this film earned 44.97 crores on its opening day. So let's take a look at some of the reasons why people loved or hated this film; either way, they watched it!

Loved it?

If you happen to be one of those rare souls that loved this film and came out of the theatres being proud of 'Indiawaale', these could be some of the reasons why:

You were born and brought up in Bollywood-

Remember playing 'Hops and Bats' as kids. Yes I know it was silly but it sure did bring a smile on your face, just like this film. Bollywood has a USP of being grand without reason and you've accepted and loved that.

Paying attention is a task-

Did you watch 'Haider' and wait for it to end just because it demanded too much attention from you? In that case you must have loved Happy New Year for letting you wander off in lovely thoughts, regaining your attention whenever you like. You like the fact that films like these allow you to pay attention to whatever else you may like- Popcorn, samosas, Whatsapp texts or your best friend/lover sitting right next to you.

It's not HNY, it's Shahrukh-

If you happen to be a hard core Shahrukh Khan fan, you will plot revenge against the people giving any negative comments about this film. This is just another excuse to celebrate you love for King Khan.

Hated it?

If your thoughts are haunted with all the lovely things you could buy with the money spent on Happy New Year tickets, here a few reasons why:

You yearn for logic -

You believe that most Bollywood movies are logic less, yet kept hopes with this one. Clearly you were let down by the end of it.

You belong to Hollywood-

If you happen to be one of those people who seldom watch Bollywood films, Happy New Year must have felt like a dream, a very disturbing one..

You feel taken for granted-

Sad but true, this film created a lot of hype which has us expecting a lot from this film. Considering the quality cinema in the film, regular movie lovers could feel like they are being taken for granted.
