Who said it was easy to be a movie critic? Some very brave souls have registered with ClapsnSlaps to put forth their views on movies they may have liked or movies they never wished existed. If you want to be the one your friends run to before catching a movie, but don't know how or where to begin, just take a deep breath and read on. Judge for yourself if these things are difficult to follow:
Difficult Step No.1- Let go of the ghost of the trailer
It is difficult not to judge the film by its trailer. So in case you've made up your mind after watching the trailer and decide to skip the film, don't. To be a movie critic, you have to first watch the movie.
Difficult Step No.2- Don't be a fan
It's not easy to give up on loving a few actors, directors or genres. But to be an unbiased movie critic, you must be prepared for variety, like it or not.
Difficult Step No.3- Become friend-resistant
As harsh as it sounds, you have to become resistant to comments about movies made by your friends. Going to watch a film with a fresh mind is best.
Friend: Hey dude! Are you seriously going to watch 'The Fault in Our Stars'? You're gonna regret it..
You: (With a Fardeen Khan expression) I will, I must.. I'm gonna review it!
Difficult Step No.4- Become popcorn-resistant
A good amount of popcorn goes well with the movie watching experience. However, greed and hunger could cause to have an over-dose of popcorn, which can be very distracting.
Difficult Step No.5-Watch it first-day first-show
If you want to be the one your friends run to before catching a film, what better way than to make sure you're the first to watch it!
Now the good news is that you don't have to be a 'Quintessential Movie Critic' to review movies. Simply tell us how you feel about any movie you've recently watched and share your thoughts with movie lovers just like you, only on ClapsnSlaps.com
