Acting is an art which very few have been able to master at; and Irrfan Khan is undoubtedly one such actor who has mastered this art with such perfection that the man is not just the most-acclaimed and loved actor in India but is soon emerging as the common Indian face in foreign movies too.
Yesterday marked the release of ‘Jurassic World’, the fourth installment to the Jurassic Park film series with Irrfan playing a crucial role in it. The move opened to favorable reviews as did Khan’s performance as the owner of the Jurassic World theme park.

Irrfan plays Simon Masrani, the man entrusted by John Hammonds to run the dinosaur themed park. Be it the craze for flying helicopters or the passion for running the park with all the necessary precautions, the man plays his part well with a firm and authoritative attitude and powerful dialogue delivery.
Irrfan is seen playing the friend of the main lead. Even though it was a small role, it was a crucial one! And yes, it was the first time we saw him sporting the sardar look.

Perhaps the first time when Indian media recognized Irrfan’s contribution in a foreign film. And why not? After all, the movie was a commercial flick starring the sexy Angelina Jolie. He was seen playing a police officer in this movie.

A British-Indian film shot in Rajasthan where Irrfan played the titular character of ‘The Warrior’.
5. New York, I Love You:
Irrfan, who is known for playing a variety of challenging roles, was seen in a light-hearted and romantic role as a Jain Businessmen with a Jewish client, played by none other than the gorgeous and talented Natalie Portman. Irrfan’s acting was praised unanimously by all.
6. Shadows of Time:
Irrfan plays a crucial but dark character in this German love story starring Prashant Narayanan and Tannishtha Chatterjee.
7. The Namesake:
The film that made Irrfan a household name as the natural perfectionist for his wonderful and realistic performance as a Bengali man who moves to New York along with his family but whose heart and mind still lies rooted deep into India’s culture and traditions.
8. The Amazing Spiderman:
Fans were in for a surprise when they got to know that Irrfan Khan would be seen in the re-boot of one of the most loved superhero Spiderman! Even though his role, as Dr.Rajit Ratha, was a small one it was a moment of pride for all the Indians to watch him give another confident performance.
9. Slumdog Millionaire:
Slumdog Millionaire was full of Indian actors, and Irrfan as the police officer who enquires Jamal managed to stand out with his terrific and restrained performance.
10. Life Of Pi:
If Hollywood has Morgan Freeman, we have Irrfan Khan! And he proved this with his brilliantly philosophical, funny and sarcastic narration in ‘Life of Pi’ where he narrates the story of his survival along with the tiger Richard Parker.
