Jass Arora: Sunny Leone can put the guys to shame!

Actor Jass Arora may not have been around on the big screen for quite some time now, but that hasn't deterred the actor a bit. Jass, who is often known for his Punjabi hits Laung Da Vachcha, Gur Naal Ishq Mita and his roles in 'Chalte Chalte', 'Dushman' among others, after trying his hand at fashion designing, is gung ho to make a comeback on the silver screen after 7 years with Bobby Khan's 'Leela'. In an exclusive chat, Jass talks about facing the camera after a break, working with Sunny Leone and more. Read on….

You faced the camera almost after 7 years. Were you nervous?

Let me know if you find me nervous when you watch the movie (laughs). I was very nervous because I had to do my first scene in front of 500 people, then there is Sunny Leone, who has now taken over the industry, so yes that was kind of scary.

How was it shooting for 'Leela'?

I was shooting for the film almost after seven years. I wasn't even around to know what is happening in the industry. Bobby Khan saw me in this look and asked me to play this role. Next day morning I met Bobby Khan and Ahmed Khan in their office and they insisted me to do this movie. This is how it started. When I reached the set, everybody was shooting for it. They gave me the biggest scene to do - a 3 minute long scene. I prepared myself for it and then shot for it in front of Sunny Leone and 500 junior artistes. I have always had a comfort factor with Ahmed and Bobby Khan. I have done most of my videos Gur Naal Ishq, Laung Da Vachcha among others with Ahmed. I did my first scene and everybody gave me a standing ovation including Sunny Leone. That really boasted my confidence.

Did you accept 'Leela' for your compatibility with the director and producer?

They didn't give me the script and also didn't explain me the role. I trusted them completely. I was confident that they won't waste me.

How was your experience of working with Sunny Leone?

She is really easy, chilled out and hardworking. Sunny Leone can put the guys to shame.

Were you nervous doing bold scenes with Sunny Leone?

Yaar, I only didn't get any bold scene. Everybody has got a bold scene except me. I don't have intimate scenes with Sunny.

From the teasers and trailers, your character appears to have grey shades… (Interrupts)

Not just grey, but my character is black and white. He has only one intention in the movie and that is to get what he wants. He wants one object in the movie and he does everything to do it.

Given the fact that the film has so many actors, were you scared that you might be overshadowed in the movie?

I will ask you this question on 11th when the movie releases. You tell me who overshadowed whom! I got a beautiful compliment from Daniel Weber, Sunny's husband. He told me after the first day of shoot that this was Sunny's film and you have taken it away. In fact, Sunny's favourite character in 'Leela' is Bikram Singh.

What's next on cards for you?

Ahmed and Bobby Khan, both have offered me their next films. So I am definitely in both of their films.
