Movie: Kill Dil
Star cast: Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar,Govinda
Director: Shaad Ali
Claps for: Not making us feel like it's 'Gunday' all over again..
Slaps for: The music, it's hard to have most of these songs on your playlist
Popcorn refill: During songs and the interval
Story: This is the story of two best friends brought up by a powerful don who they call Bhaiyaji. While one friend has no regrets killing people every day, the other one falls in love with a girl and wants to lead a new life, without any guns. While he really wants to leave his past behind, Bhaiyaji (Govinda) won't let him. The rest of the story follows his struggle to start a new life with a respectable job and marry the girl he loves.
Performances: Ranveer Singh was cool in his metro sexual avatar. The actor was adorable enough to look cute and masculine enough to look straight. He stole the show through most parts. Ali Zafar played it just right wherever required. His performance in the film doesn't give us a chance to complain. Parineeti Chopra seemed better than her last performance (Daawat-e-Ishq). A special mention for Govinda, who plays a villainous role as well as his comic stints.
Direction: Shaad Ali manages to engage us in the story of this film, without complicating the plot. He swiftly brings in the entertaining bits then suddenly has us witness action sequences. The film progresses smoothly minute by minute and gets more interesting if you're one of those who love the bad boy heroes that have a heart of gold.
Combo-on-offer: This film offers you the following combo
Bollywood action+ Romance+ A story about a second chance= Give it a try if you liked 'Gunday', but wished it ended differently.
Final Verdict: We give this film Claps for finding the right balance between action and romance.
