Popcorn Refill: Strictly Interval
Plot: Living large and loving life, Po (Jack Black) realizes that he has a lot to learn if he's going to fulfill the next challenge from his beloved instructor Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). After reuniting with his long-lost father (Bryan Cranston), Po must transition from student to teacher and train a group of fun-loving The Furious Five, clumsy pandas to become martial-arts fighters. Together, the Kung-Fu brethren unite to take on the evil Kai (J.K. Simmons), a supernatural warrior came from the spirit realm who take the warriors 'Chi powers' becoming stronger with each battle.
Performances: Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, J K Simmons, James Hong, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, & Seth Rogen have dubbed really well and bring their characters to life through their voice. Also, Kate Hudson’s cameo as a ribbon-dancing Panda has been nicely executed.
Direction: The disappointment in the movie is the villain Kai who, after a promising start, turns out to be a one-dimensional bad guy without any strong motive. In the first two films both villains had interesting reasons to wreck and destroy the good guys. However this time it feels like the writers couldn’t come up with new ways to give Po an adversary. Kai is also not very interesting to look at. Plus, the design of Kai’s weapons ‘Jade swords’ were like Kratos’ weapon from 'Gods of War'.
Dreamworks Animation have taken their Visual Palette/Effects to another level with this movie – the imagery is richly detailed and deeply memorable. Also the Story telling in 2D Comic Effects give the flick a catchy effect. The Vivid Martial Arts Actions is just consistently entertaining. It’s best to watch the Movie in 3D with so much work gone into rendering the animation.
Also, it is a treat to listen to 'Everybody loves Kung Fu Fighting' sung by 'The Vamps', which is played during the credit scenes in the end of every Kung Fu movie!
Combo-on-offer: Lots of Action + Comedy + Animation
Verdict: We give 'Kung Fu Panda 3' Thunderous Claps for the ground breaking 3D/Visual Effects bringing life like experience to you & also for DreamWorks Animation Studios for making such inspiring movies which give us a lots of messages like the one which Master Shifu says- don't try to be someone else, instead try to be better in what you are.
