Here’s the new addition to the ‘Kool’ franchise. Needless to say, the film does have its share of funny moments filled with vulgar jokes. However, the audience expects much more than just laughing at jokes which could have even been read on WhatsApp! Here’s why the movie fails to be a Kool one…
Story: Kanhaiya Lele (Tusshar) gets thrown out of his house due to the mischief of his best friend Rocky (Aftab). The only option they are left with is to connect with their long-lost friend Mickey (Krushna) in Bangkok and act in his porn videos as the leading actors. Soon Kahnaiya ends up falling for Shalu (Mandana) and the two decide to get married. Problem arises when Shalu’s father demands to meet Kanhaiya’s family and in a bid to save him all the trouble of calling up his real parents, Mickey comes up with a plan to present the other porn actors as his family members- leading to a comedy (Read: sex-comedy) of errors!
Performances: Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani and Krushna are made for comedy! The three have a great comic timing and make the film worth the watch.
The less said about Mandana Karimi’s acting, the better it would be! Claudia Ciesla and Gizele Thakral are fine in their roles as the porn actresses who attain orgasm from little things in life.
Darshan Jariwala- Wasted.
Riteish Deshmukh is a delight to watch in his small but funny cameo as Satya Naash!
Direction: Director Umesh Ghadge ensures his position as a strong contender for the Worst Director of 2016 with ease! “Half-baked characters, a senseless plot and women with cleavage” must have been his brief to the entire team when he started making ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum 3’- a movie which comes across as if it has been shot more behind the green screen and less on real sets.
Vulgar jokes are fine. But why make a movie to let the audience know them? Why not just text them? The spoofs of various Bollywood movies as Porn flicks in the first half and certain scenes involving the comedy of errors are the saving grace and will ensure you have a good laugh throughout the movie.
However, a movie is not just about the dialogues or humor. The editing is extremely poor.
And kudos to the team for brilliant product placement (Just being sarcastic guys). Example: Hoardings of Rajshree Pan Masala all across Bangkok and that too in Hindi! *slow claps*
Another example: Aftab forgets to get a gift for Tusshar’s grandmother. And that’s where Tusshar suggests him to buy awesome gifts from Pass My Order. And not just that, Aftab suddenly feels the need to “oil” himself with a porn video after shopping from Pass My Order. *slow claps again*
Combo-On-Offer: Sex Comedy + Drama
Verdict: We give the movie SLAPS for its extremely poor presentation despite its fair share of funny moments!
