At the end of the trailer, one thing is clear. These two people got married without actually thinking about the consequences.
The plot is something we've already seen in What Happens In Vegas, starring Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. Lekar Hum Deewana Dil changes it up a bit by making the two rash decision takers best friends and not complete strangers.
Questions such as “But why would you get married to each other if you wanted to avoid being married off, how does that even make sense?†and “Clearly you don't have your parents' money, how on earth did you manage to run off and try to start a life together?†are not meant for the couple in this movie. These are practical questions a movie-goer might have, practicality is not something that exists in the minds of the creators of movies like these.
But once you get over that hurdle, the trailer does seem to offer an awkward, naïve, and ultimately rather sweet love story. And if they don't get together in the end; a good life lesson in why adrenaline-and-coffee-fueled decisions rarely work out.
From what we see from the trailer, this movie might actually surprise us.
