'Pete’s Dragon' Movie Review: David Lowery’s Mammoth Fable Is Magical And Disney’s Best In Recent Times!
Cast: Oakes Fegley, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence, Robert Redford, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Jim McLarty, Ian Harcourt, and John Kassir

Director: David Lowery

Producer: James Whitaker

Writer: David Lowery and Toby Halbrooks

Claps: EVERYTHING

Slaps: NOTHING

What's New: Move over the musical-drama, and get ready to fall in love with a dramatic version of Pete and his dragon Elliot!

Popcorn Refill: Strictly Interval

Plot: There’s magic in the woods. All you need is someone who knows where to find it!

‘Pete’s Dragon’ is about how Grace never believed in her father’s encounter with a tall green dragon until she meets a 10-year-old orphan who had been living in the forest for years along with his friend, who isn’t a human…

Performances: From Oakes Fegley and Oona Laurence to Bryce Dallas Howard and Robert Redford- each one of them has done a lovely job and helps shaping this movie into what it truly is- Magic.

Direction: Here's a heartwarming tale that will turn you into a little kid, who loves hearing bedtime stories, all over again. It will make you laugh with joy, cry, and make you root for a dragon over the humans! And the credit for that goes to director David Lowery and his team!

Remaking an old film is a task. And it gets even more daunting when all that the previous flick had was songs and dance. But what we get to see here is a completely dramatic version of 'Pete's Dragon' with a completely different storyline and new characters- the only thing that doesn't change is the Dragon and the name of the little boy!

And what we also get to see is a film much better than the flick from which it has been adapted- a rarity.

'Pete's Dragon' has its share of thrills, action, tear-jerking moments and moments that will give out a message about humanity above all- all of it coupled along with terrific CGI effects and wonderful background music.

This fable will make you believe in Disney's magic all over again! Oh yes, go and watch it with the little ones in your house.

Combo-On-Offer: Drama + Emotion + VFX + Magic

Verdict: In an era where VFX dominates the art of storytelling, here's a movie that uses the visual effects only to complete its tale and make the viewers fall in love with it all the more! We give 'Pete's Dragon' THUNDEROUS CLAPS for bringing the magic back on the big screen and for being one of the finest movies by Disney in recent times!
