While ‘Piku’, his upcoming film, boasts of a unique concept with Bollywood biggies Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, let us check out how different the music of the movie is given that it is composed by Anupam Roy, a big name in Bengali films who is making his debut as music composer in Bollywood. Here’s our music review of ‘Piku’:

Bezubaan: A serene and soothing number, Bezubaan is a beautiful romantic composition. Sung exceptionally well by Anupam Roy, this song grows on you with its meaningful lyrics. A song that will stay on loop for days!

Journey Song: Given that the film’s certain portion deals with a road trip, this song fits well in the theme of the movie. A melodious, sweet number, Journey Song captures the feel of the journey in this one. Not to miss Shreya Ghoshal’s pleasant voice when she sings the Bengali portions of the song. Makes for a good hear.

Lamhe Guzar Gaye: Roy’s Lamhe Guzar Gaye is a slow contemplative track rendered nicely by him. With meaningful lyrics and soothing music, this song is sure to find connect with the audience.

Piku Title Track: An upbeat, lively number sung by the spunky Sunidhi Chauhan, Piku Title Track is more of an introductory song which sketches the character of Deepika Padukone in the movie.

Teri Meri Baatein: A romantic number sung by Anupam, Teri Meri Baatein is a sober track with a melodious antara and mukhda.

Hot Favourites: Our hot picks from the film’s album are Bezubaan, Journey Song and Piku Title Track.

Claps Or Slaps: We give the music of ‘Piku’ thunderous claps for its refreshing and melodious compositions with meaningful lyrics. Anupam Roy has a winner in hand.
