Potential 100-crore club movies from the 90's.

The year 2008 saw Bollywood making its way into the prestigious 100-Crore club, a mark never touched before, with Aamir Khan's 'Ghajini'. It has been six years and today, nearly every movie making it to the 100 crore club easily, we look at some of the famous and most loved movies of the 90's that would have made it to the 100-Crore club had they released now.

1) Andaz Apna Apna:

100 Crore? Combination of Salman and Aamir along with a funny script that gave us Teja and Crime Master Gogo would have broken all the previous box office records and probably created many more crore-clubs.

2) Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge:

Shah Rukh Khan in his most loved avatar along with the beautiful and talented Kajol and a movie that has the potential to become a romantic classic of all time. Plus, a run for 1000 weeks. Imagine what the box office collections would have been?

3) Darr:

Yash Chopra, Sunny Deol, Juhi Chawla and the man who made Darr the classic it is……. *drumrolls*.…Shah Rukh Khan. Enough names to make the people get into the theatres to watch it.

4) Hum Aapke Hain Kaun?:

In an era where commercial and mindless masala movies are busy making money, had Sooraj Barjatya come up with a beautiful and emotional family drama with melodious songs, it would have surely become an instant hit upon its release.

5) Baazigar:

An Abbaz-Mustan thriller with a twist every now and then. The role that made SRK a star. Baazigar would have surely been a 100 Crore member had it released today.

6) Karan Arjun:

Okay. Imagine this. Two biggest Khans whose movies make 200 crores each come together in a movie along with Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Amrish Puri and Rakhee; that has action, dance, emotions, and a powerful re-incarnation theme to it. *Box Office Records Shattered*

7) Kuch Kuch Hota Hai:

So many movies have been made since then about college romance. None have been able to match the this most loved college love-triangle between SRK, Kajol and Rani Mukherji along with the adorable Sanaa Saeed and a surprise appearance by Salman.

8) Ghayal:

Sunny Deol in his action-hero avatar along with powerful dialogues. Need more explanation?

9) Saajan:

The highest grossing film of 1991 which had melodious songs and lovable performances along with the sacrifice made by Salman in the end. *teary-eyes*

10) Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar:

A sports-film that struck the right cord amongst the audience at a time when sports films weren't admired by all. A film that has been an inspiration for several other bollywood movies.

11) Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa:

If this movie doesn't make you love SRK as the adorable loser Sunil, nothing else would. Surely the most adorable movie of the 90's that had a beautiful Goan ambience and good songs.

12) Border:

With brilliant performances by Sunny Deol, Suneil Shetty, Akshaye Khanna and many more, this multi starrer war epic won every Indian's heart. And yes, wonderful music by Anu Malik was the cherry on the top.

13) Main Khiladi Tu Anari:

If the most-missed magical combination of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan is bought back to the theatres, we are sure it would turn out to be a big blockbuster.

14) Aashiqui:

The biggest musical romantic drama of the 90's. What a treat it would have been for romantic-movie lovers had it released today.

15) Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi:

Akshay Kumar in his daredevil 'Khiladi' avatar along with Rekha and Raveena Tandon. We all know how amazing every Khiladi movie has been ('Khiladi 786 being an exception).

16) Deewana Mastana:

A hilarious film that saw Anil Kapoor and Govinda act like Tom and Jerry to get Juhi Chawla. It too had been directed by king of comedy-entertainers David Dhwan.

17) Judwa:

With two Salman Khan's this David Dhawan's directorial venture is surely one of the funniest Salman Khan films.

18) Hero No.1:

You must have heard about 'rags to riches'. But this one was about 'riches to rags' for a girl. This comedy-drama had the famous pair together- David Dhawan and Govinda; who never fail to entertain.

19) Hum Saath Saath Hain:

Another Sooraj Barjatya family-drama that was the highest grossing movie of 1999. One of the biggest multi-starrer that would have been viewed by every member of a family had it released today.

20) Jeet:

You need not question a movie's box-office success that had Sunny Deol, Salman Khan, and Sunny Deol's famous dance steps.

With nearly every actor doing movies that have one aim- reaching the prestige 100 Crore Club; we wish they acted in better and worthy ones….or rather re-release these cult movies.
