After working with Bollywood biggies like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn among others, 'Dabangg' girl Sonakshi Sinha is gung ho about her next film Lingaa with South superstar Rajinikanth.
Ask Sonakshi about her experience of working with the 'Thalaiva' and she reveals, “It has been a tremendous experience of working with Rajinikanth sir. I don't think I could have got a better start in Tamil cinema than in Lingaa. Keeping in mind Rajni sir's stardom, I am yet to meet someone as humble and as simple as him. Being in this industry for so many years, he is the simplest man I have work. There is so much to learn from him.â€
She adds further, “It is amazing to work with people who make you feel comfortable. Even the director KS Ravikumar made me feel at home. He was impressed with the way I spoke the language. He was shocked with my accent. The accent is probably the result of me doing three films with Prabhudheva and one film with A.R. Murugadoss.â€
While the actress has often worked with superstars, Rajinikanth is of different stature. Probe her on how did she manage to break the ice with the actor and she says, “I was obviously nervous to work with Rajni sir on first day because I had met him only once before the shoot and that was in my childhood when I had visited Chennai with my parents. And then directly I met him during the film's shoot. So in the middle there was no contact at all. So when we started working, I walked up to him and told him that I am honoured to work with him but I am very nervous. And the very humble Rajinikanth told me 'Why are you nervous? I am nervous to work with you because you are my friend's daughter'. That broke the ice between us and made me comfortable to just be around him. He is very cool to work with. The kind of film we are doing is not one where romance will make him or me uncomfortable.â€
Directed by KS Ravikumar, Lingaa which also stars Anushka Shetty, is all set to release on December 12, 2014.
