Star Cast: Rhea Chakraborty, Ali Fazal, Raghav Juyal, Anupam Kher, Smita Jaykar
Claps for: Daring to be different!
Slaps for: A few parts in the film.
Story: This story is essentially a David vs. Goliath battle which revolves around the fight between corporate giants and smaller businesses. Sonali (Rhea) manages Sonali Cable Centar (Centre), which is about to be taken over by an established corporate organization. As the story progresses we get to know who finally wins this fight. A love story playing subtly in the background comes right to the rescue for those who love filmy romances.
Performances: Rhea Charkraborty managed to give a convincing performance through most of the film. However, a few parts tell us that a little more polishing in the acting department may be required. Ali Fazal was smooth in his performance and turned his charm on whenever required in the film. A special mention for Anupam Kher for his commendable performance as the I-want-it-all corporate czar. The character he plays is one that you will remember after you've walked out of the cinema hall. Smita Jaykar and Raghav Juyal were decent in their performances.
Direction: Chardutt Acharya remained successful in holding our attention through most of the film. A few parts of this film could have been better, but can be ignored. The story of this film was stringed together fine and doesn't give us much of a chance to complain.
Combo-on-Offer: This film offers you the following combo-
A fresh concept + Entertainment in the right amount= Don't be afraid to try it...
Final Verdict: We give this film Claps for proving that a small film like Sonali Cable can co-exist with mega budget star-studded blockbusters. So will you subscribe to Sonali Cable?
