Those who have always loved Vishal-Shekhar's music in Shah Rukh Khan's movie are surely going to be disappointed to hear rumours that the two musicians had a fallout with the superstar. Yes! Apparently, King Khan wants Pritam to compose music for his upcoming 'Fan' instead of the duo, which could mark an end to their collaboration.
So, let us look at some of the memorable albums the trio of SRK, Vishal and Shekhar have given us so far:
1. Om Shanti Om:
Their first big outing together. The music of 'Om Shanti Om' topped the charts and became a success overnight. Be it the romantic and soulful 'Aankhon Mein Teri', the adrenaline-pumped 'Dard-e-Disco' or the much-loved 'Deewanagi Deewanagi'. SRK and Farah had received huge flak from the audiences for replacing Anu Malik (with whom they worked in 'Main Hoon Na') with the new musician duo but had their mouths shut once the music album released.
Rumours about tension brewing between them had made headlines way back in 2011 when the first poster of 'Ra.One' failed to mention Vishal-Shekhar's name in the credits section. But their appearances together at the promotional events made the rumors fall apart. Ra.One had brilliant songs, and more importantly had an amazing background score which is necessary for a superhero movie. And not to forget...Akon's 'Chammak Challo'.
3. Chennai Express:
Chennai Express not only saw Vishal Shekhar re-unite with SRK but also with director Rohit Shetty. While everything was well throughout the shooting and post-production, the big blow came in when rapper Honey Singh claimed he has a participation is Chennai Express' songs to which Vishal responded back stating he has none, thereby causing a clash of egos between the two. But, what Vishal didn't know was that SRK had shot for a surprise video with the rapper, without their knowledge, only to be released a week before the release of the movie.
4. Happy New Year:
Certainly the most disappointing one from this trio. While 'Om Shanti Om' had given us chart-buster songs, people were expecting this Farah Khan movie to have even better and rocking ones. Hardly any songs had a lasting impression on the audiences.
But from what we have noticed so far is that the three have always maintained friendly relations with each other even after the 'Chennai Express' incident; and have always maintained that their friendship is not just limited to work. Also, when SRK had asked Pritam and Vishal-Shekhar to make their own versions of the KKR Anthem in order to chose one of them, he went with the latter's composition.
So, let us wait to find out whether this news has any truth in it!
