Director: Aanand L. Rai

Claps For: Kangana Ranaut, Himanshu Sharma, Aanand L. Rai, dialogues, story

Slaps For: Absolutely nothing

Popcorn Refill: Strictly Interval

Story: Like it is shown in the prequel, Tanu (Kangana Ranaut) falls in love with Manu (Madhavan) and both decide to get married. This film takes off from there and zooms four years ahead. In present day, Tanu and Manu are fed up of each other and seek counselling at a mental asylum in London. Things don't fall in place for the couple and both fly down to India. While Tanu gets flirty with her ex-lover Awasthi (Jimmy Shergill), Manu falls in love with Datto (Kangana Ranaut), who resembles Tanu completely, yet is a different individual. What happens next forms the plot of the movie.

Performance: Kangana Ranaut, who had raised the bar for herself with her celebrated performance in 'Queen', does an exceptional job once again. She is bold, beautiful and impressive as both Tanu and Datto. She plays the double role with great ease and is surely sweeping the award season next year too! R. Madhavan is back with a bang and how?! You will fall in love with this 40 year old Sharma ji. Sincere, endearing and an absolutely lovable performance from Madhavan adds to the film. The support cast also excels in their roles. Deepak Dobriyal is epic in his avatar and keeps you in splits throughout the film. Bravo! Swara Bhaskar, Eijaz Khan and Jimmy Shergill are good in their part but one would wish to see more of them.

Direction: Aanand L. Rai has hit the hattrick! Making a sequel to a film as good as Tanu Weds Manu was indeed a risk. But Rai was confident his honesty wins you over. The film is crisp, entertaining, emotional and fun, all at the same time. The film's story and dialogues by Himanshu Sharma are the highlight of the movie. The combo of Aanand and Himanshu is the real high point of TWMR. A standing ovation to the genius jodi!

Combo-on-Offer: Drama + Romance + Humour = Paisa Vasool Movie

Verdict: We give the film thunderous claps for Kangana Ranaut's mindblowing performance, whistle worthy dialogues and crisp writing!
