Trailer Review- Tevar

The makers of the upcoming Bollywood flick 'Tevar' have released the official trailer of the film giving us a gist as to what to expect from it. Starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in leading roles, this film is set to have elements of romance, drama and action. Manoj Baypayee will be seen playing a negative role. Directed by Amit Sharma, this film is slated for release on the 9th of January 2015. Let us decode this trailer and see what's in store.

Claps for: Defining the plot well. This trailer gives us a clear picture of what this film is about and nicely outlines the plot. So, we understand that the bad guy is after Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor 'abducts' Sona to save her from him. Except for small bits, the one that shows Arjun pushing Sonakshi off the edge of a building, and the other in which he almost punches her in the face. So okay, some suspense for us then..

Slaps for: This dialogue at the end of the trailer 'Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi.. Kiski modu gardan, kiski todu haddi'. It was just a little too much for us to digest Arjun saying such dialogue with so much intensity! This gives us a feeling that 'Tevar' is filled with dialogues like these. We hope this is not a failed version of the 'Dabangg' kind. Dialogues like these have to be backed by the 'Salman' kind. Also, we happened to witness a very powerful statement somewhere in the trailer 'WITNESS THE BRAND NEW ATTITUDE OF INDIAN CINEMA', after which we expected something we've never seen before, but alas! It looks nothing more than a run-of-the-mill Bollywood masala film.

What should we expect? We can expect this to be filled with what Bollywood lovers usually love- the badass good guy, the girl that everyone wants and an attention deprived bad guy; all mixed in a base of filmy dialogues. Whether it will actually click or not with the audience will be known in January 2015!
