Plot: Orc shaman Gul'dan utilizes his dark magic to open a portal to the human realm of Azeroth, in order to escape from his dying world. Supported by the fierce fighter Blackhand, he organizes the orc clans into a conquering army called the Horde. This leads to King Llane, the mighty warrior Anduin Lothar and the powerful wizard Medivh coming together to protect Azeroth from these invaders. As the two races collide, leaders from each side start to question if war is the only answer.
Performances: All the actors give their best to save the move from falling flat; and it is sad to see talented actors like Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper and Travis Fimmel give their best and fail.
Ben Schnetzer is impressive; Paula Patton does an amazing job too.
Direction: It is Duncan Jones direction that will keep you hooked till the end. From wizards to orcs, emotional scenes between Duraton and Draka as well as a love angle between Travis Fimmel and Paula Patton, he shows it all and makes sure his ‘Warcraft’ has all the essential elements.
Sadly, despite all his attempts, ‘Warcraft’ fails to cast a spell on the audiences. Even the war sequences fail to impress!
Combo-On-Offer: Action + Drama + Visual Effects
Verdict: We give the movie SLAPS for letting the visual effects be the only saving grace despite the actors and the director trying their best to prevent the audiences from saying “Game Over”.
