Popcorn Refill: Anytime during the 130 minutes
Story: Zed Plus is a story of a common man Aslam Puncturewala (Adil Hussain), who is granted 'Z security' by the country's Prime Minister (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), who visits the former's village, a small town in contemporary India, called Fatehpur in Rajasthan, popular for its Peepal Wale Peer Ki Dargah, to save his collapsing Government. What follows next is the story of how the common man becomes a victim of misunderstandings and faces the brunt of wrong decisions taken by the higher authorities and the politics he witnesses.
Performances: Adil Hussain as Aslam Puncturewala is good in his part however looks too polished for this role. Mona Singh as Hameeda, Aslam's wife, and Sayeeda (Ekavali Khanna), as Aslam's love interest, are mediocre. Kulbhushan Kharbanda plays the Indian Prime Minister with ease. It is Sanjay Mishra, who makes you giggle with his perfect dialog delivery.
Direction: Though the film starts off well, Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi fails to lift the film up, though the story is quite nice. It somewhere reminds you of 'Peepli Live' and doesn't interest you after a point as it becomes pretty predictable and repetitive.
Combo on offer: Political satire + drama = Watch it only if you haven't seen 'Peepli Live'
Final Verdict: We give the film slaps for being slow, uninteresting and predictable.
