The instant success of the movie paved way fpr more of such parallel cinemas like 'Rockford', '3 Deewarein' and 'Hyderabad Blued 2'. He went commercial and enterted the mainstream Bollywood cinema with the inspiring and well-acclaimed movies 'Iqbal' and 'Dor'. However, with four back-to-back flops, he shifted back to doing the kind of cinema he is best known for and enthralled the audiences and critics with 'Lakshmi' and the recently released 'Dhanak', which has been garnering praises and awards at various film festivals all over the world.
