The much awaited Bollywood releases have crossed two weeks at the box-office. While Bang Bang is breaking records at the box-office from its very first day of release, Haider is performing well considering that this genre of film is not widely accepted by the Indian audiences.
Haider earned about 3.25 crores on Sunday, which makes its total weekend collection amount to 7.15 crores. Bang Bang continued to prove itself at the box-office as it raked in a good 6 crores on Sunday making a total of 7.15 crores over the weekend. While Haider puts itself in the 50 crore club with its lifetime business, Bang Bang has a collection of approximately 140 crores nett.
While Sidharth Anand's 'Bang Bang' received mixed reviews from the critics, Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider managed to hold their attention for very good reasons. However, considering the box-office statistics it's clear that the audiences seem to have a different mindset.
'Bang Bang' starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif was the official remake of the Hollywood action flick 'Knight and Day'. Vishal Bhardwaj tried to recreate Shakespeare's famous literary work 'Hamlet' through his film 'Haider'. Both films were much awaited and remain to be among the most impactful films this year.
