40 Years of Sholay and its iconic dialogues!

Arre O Samba...Kitne Saal Ho Gaye 'Sholay' Ko?

- Poore Chaalis Saal...

Some movies never get old! And one such movie is the ever-green Ramesh Sippy film 'Sholay'.

The movie released on 15th August, 1975- 4 decades ago! And even though the movie never got old, the people who made this iconic masterpiece have gone through the tides of time. While some are old and still make appearances in movies to entertain us, some left us years ago leaving behind their great acting skills in movies like these!

A typical Bollywood-styled film, 'Sholay' was about two notorious criminals and friends Jai and Veeru (Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra), who are hired by retired Police chief Thakur Baldev Singh (Sanjeev Kumar) to finish the terror bandit Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan) has unleashed upon the villagers of Ramgarh. What follows is a tale of love, friendship, loyalty and revenge.

A movie that is remembered for its iconic songs, dialogues, characters and scenes became an instant hit. And no matter how many come and take inspiration from it, or even remake it...no one has ever been able to touch the grandness of this flick!

Here's wishing Happy 40 years to:

1. Kitney Aadmi The?

2. Tera Kya Hoga Kaalia?

3. Itna Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai?

4. Holi Kab Hai...Kab Hai Holi?
