After getting high security for shooting the most important sequence for 'Mirziya', the director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra ordered for marigold flowers, all the way from Kolkata to Jaipur, for the same.
The sequence was debutant Saiyami Kher’s wedding sequence in the film, which is one of the most integral sequences of the film.
Since, a grand Rajasthan wedding was being shot, Rakeysh wanted the set to look authentic.He looked into each and every detail, from the costume on each and every person on the set to the floral decoration which had been used.
The director even called for 5 trunks of yellow marigold flowers all the way from Kolkata, which is known for top quality marigold flowers.
Since, the sequence was canned in 7 days, the makers had called for the flowers on regular intervals, after the initial 5 trucks.
A spokeperson confirmed the news and further added, "It is a very important sequence and was shot over many days. Keeping it traditional, simple and classy was the idea - which sounds easy, but is tough to achieve. The production team did a wonderful job of achieving that."
'Mirziya' is Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's first love story. It is a contemporary love story based in Rajasthan. Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor will make his debut with this film along with Saiyami Kher.
