Anushka Sharma's 'NH10' received accolades from the film critics and audience, alike. Now, the producers of the film, Eros International and Phantom Films are planning to make a sequel to the film under the title 'NH12'.
Madhu Mantena from Phantom Films confirmed the title and added that they also planned a series of road films. He said, "The idea is to make a franchisee out of road films, a genre that's under-utilised in Bollywood, but one that has a lot of potential. 'NH12' will explore another dark theme."

'NH10' marked the production debut of Anushka Sharma. Directed by Navdeep Singh, the film traced the story of a woman named Meera, caught in a series of scary incidents in a lawless land and how she got back on her feet to strike the evil-doers.
Earlier, Anushka had said, "I just want to be part of films wherein I am able to contribute something as an actor. I would just like to be part of good cinema and good films."
Whether the original cast will reprise their roles from 'NH10' is yet to be decided.
