Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do' is one of the most anticipated films of this year. Shot in exotic locations with an ensemble star cast, the film looks quite stylish and vibrant.
Recently, the second track from the film was released online.Though the entire song has not been launched, the preview gives the audience a peek into some of the happenings on the cruise. Apparently, Zoya shoot the entire song sequence in just one take. It was a mammoth task to plan the shoot but she was quite excited about this experimentation.
While the planning and rehearsals took time, the song was shot in less than five minutes. They did a few rehearsals before the shoot. Everything fell in sync once the cameras started rolling. Even the cast was quite excited to shoot in this fashion. The song turned out to be quite amazing and is being appreciated by the audience. However, they will be able to see the direction trick only in theatres.
Zoya says, "We had to plan every detail before we started shooting for the song. There was a lot of planning and management to be looked into. The song would not be possible without Bosco Caesar and Carlos my DOP."
She further adds "It was challenging but fun. There is a version of the song out and the feedback on it has been very positive and overwhelming. The audiences will get to see the entire song in the film."
'Dil Dhadakne Do' revolves around a dysfunctional Punjabi family named the Mehras on a cruise trip across the Mediterranean. It stars Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah. The movie is slated to release on 5th June.
