Aamir Khan recently revealed that Mallika Sherawat had auditioned for his upcoming film 'Dangal' where he plays a wrestler.
Mallika had apparently auditioned for the role of Aamir's wife. In an interview to a leading daily Aamir said, "The casting is still going on for the film. She is a wonderful actress... she contacted our casting director, auditioned for a role. We are concentrating on getting cast for the younger version that is -- 12-14 years for Geeta and Babita (Mahavir's daughters and women wrestling champs)."
There was plenty of speculation on who will play his daughters in the film. To this Aamir said, "We auditioned a lot of girls and have finalised Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. We tested them and they are very good. These two young girls are very talented. These girls are training in wrestling."
Reportedly, Fatima is from Mumbai and has acted in a few films and a TV serial. On the other hand, Sanya born and brought up in Delhi, is a trained ballet dancer.
'Dangal' is based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh and his star daughters chronicling their relationship. The film is set to hit the shooting floors in September this year.
