Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is returning to the silver screen after a four-year-long hiatus, has started shooting for ‘Jazbaa’ from today (February 2). Aishwarya was last seen on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ back in 2010.
The former Miss. World, who was seen only in ads and on the Cannes red carpet, had taken a sabbatical after the birth of her daughter Aaradhya. While ‘Jazbaa’ marks Aishwarya’s return to the big screen, this will be followed by the much hyped ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ directed by Karan Johar.
‘Jazbaa’ is an official remake of a foreign film but Sanjay Gupta hasn’t revealed the name of the original movie. Meanwhile, ‘Jazbaa’ has Aishwarya Rai playing the role of a lawyer, Irrfan playing a suspended cop and Shabana Azmi as his mother and a renowned professor. On the other hand, the film will also see John Abraham in a special appearance. Sanjay Gupta is aiming at Cannes to premiere the film.
