Akshay Kumar's 'Gabbar Is Back' is garnering appreciation from the masses and has ended the dry spell at the box office. The film is the highest opening grosser of 2015.
The film's relevant subject coupled with 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar's gritty avatar has struck a chord with the viewers.
It collected Rs 13.05 crores on Friday, Rs 11.35 crores on Saturday, Rs 15 crores on Sunday, Rs 6.75 crores on Monday, Rs 5 crores on Tuesday and Rs 4.50 crores on Wednesday. The total box office collection is Rs 55.66 crores.
Directed by Krish and produced by Viacom 18 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Gabbar Is Back' is the story of a common man who fights a fierce battle against corruption and comes up with a unique initiative to tackle the issue. It stars Akshay Kumar, Shruti Haasan, Suman Talwar and Sunil Grover.
With two new releases- 'Piku' and 'Kuch Kuch Locha Hai' tomorrow, it needs to be seen how this film holds itself at the box office.
