Anupam Kher is quite happy with the response his recently released 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' has got till now. Kher, the veteran actor who began his journey with 'Aagman' in 1982 and has done several movies and dabbled in theatre since then, strongly believes that such movies will give the upcoming filmmakers the courage to make powerful cinema which is not based on the star-effect but plainly on content.
“So happy that #EkkeesToponKiSalaami has got amazing reviews. Let's us hope it gets translated into audiences going to the theatres. Films like #EkkeesToponKiSalaami should do well at the box office for filmmakers to get courage to make such movies. Watch it in theatres,†Anupam tweeted Saturday.
The movie has been directed by first timer director Ravindra Gautam and stars Anupam Kher, Neha Dhupia, Divyendu Sharma last seen in 'Chashme Baddoor', Manu Rishi, Aditi Sharma, Rajesh Sharma and Aashif Sheikh in prominent roles.
The movie is a political satire and the basic storyline of the film revolves around differences between Anupam Kher who plays a honest man and his two sons who have different sets of beliefs and principles.
