Anurag Kashyap's magnum opus 'Bombay Velvet' has failed to impress the audience despite of its stellar cast and elaborate budget. Though, the viewers loved its appealing visuals, the weak plot played a spoilsport!
The film which opened to mixed reviews, collected Rs 5.20 crores on Friday, Rs 5.10 crores on Saturday and Rs 5.80 crores on Sunday. The total three days collection is Rs 16.10 crores.
'Bombay Velvet', directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Phantom Films, is the tale of a street fighter, Johnny Balraj (Ranbir Kapoor) who aspires to be a BigShot. But his life turns topsy-turvy with the entry of jazz singer, Rosie Noronha (Anushka Sharma) and media baron, Kaizaad Khambata (Karan Johar).
