Arshad Warsi made his debut in Bollywood with an Amitabh Bachchan production. And now, the actor will be starring opposite the Shahenshah of Bollywood in his upcoming 2017 movie ‘Aankhen 2’.
But there’s another strange connection to this! A month back, the makers announced about Akshay Kumar replacing Warsi in the sequel of the latter’s critically acclaimed hit ‘Jolly LLB’, citing the need for a bigger star to mint more money at the box office.
And with B-town’s beloved ‘Circuit’ replacing Kumar in the sequel to the 2002 movie ‘Aankhen’, one can surely say that the two have got even.
However, during a recent event to introduce the star-cast of ‘Aankhen 2’, when Warsi was asked about the same he quipped, “Bahut Purani planning hai. Humne bachpan main socha tha kya karenge. “
On a serious note, the actor further stated, “It’s a coincidence. It happens at times. Abhi isme koi kuch nahi hai. Hota hai aisa. Kabhi koi yeh role kar leta hai. So it’s fine.”
With ‘Golmaal Again’, ‘Munnabhai 3’, ‘Aankhen 2’ and a third installment to the ‘Dhamaal’ franchise on the cards; looks like 2017 will be the year of Arshad and his sequels.
