Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who created ripples with the unusual and creative posters of 'Hawaizaada', launched the first trailer of the film yesterday.
The film is based on the life of scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade who constructed and flew India's first airplane in 1895, eight years before America's Wright Brothers did it. Ask Ayushmann how did 'Hawaizaada' happen and he says, “This film just came to me. I had just completed 'Vicky Donor'. I loved the script and accepted it.â€
Khurrana, who is a Punjabi and has often portrayed those roles, for the first time will be seen playing a Maharashtrian character. Quiz him how difficult was it to learn Marathi and he reveals, “I understand Marathi yaar. I have stayed in Mumbai for 5 years and that has helped me learn the language.â€
Talking about the movie, Ayushmann said, “'Hawaizaada' is a cult film. I am sure everyone will love it as it is different and unique. And the film will definitely work.â€
Directed by Vibhu Puri and produced by Reliance Entertainment, 'Hawaizaada' also stars Pallavi Sharda and Mithun Chakraborty in the lead and releases on January 30, 2015.
