Anurag Kashyap's next film has been in lot of news even before hitting the shooting floors. The movie, touted to be a gangster flick, was supposed to star Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Ayushmann Khurrana. But now buzz is that Ayushmann has opted out of this project.
As per a report in Absolute India he was not happy with his role in the film and felt that Nawaz's character was more substantial than his. It quoted a source as saying, "Ayushmann wanted to change his romantic sweet boy image and experiment the tough part in films. Unfortunately, it seems that he isn’t ready for it yet. Apart from that, Ayushmann felt that Nawazuddin’s role is more substantial than his character. Hence, the actor decided to leave the film."
Rumours suggest that post Ayushmann's exit, Vicky Kaushal of 'Masaan' fame has stepped into his shoes.
Further the reports quoted Ayushmann's spokesperson as saying, "There’s no question of opting out as he had not signed the film as mentioned earlier. He was just in talks.”
