R. Balki's 'Ki & Ka' which stars Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor might have received mixed reviews from the critics, but it looks like the audience has completely loved this film which deals with gender role reversal. The box office collection stands a testimony to this as this flick received the third highest opening of 2016 after 'Airlift' and 'Kapoor & Sons'.
'Ki & Ka' minted Rs. 7.30 crores on Friday. This was followed by Rs. 8.41 crores on Saturday and Rs. 9.52 crores on Sunday. The total box office collection now stands at Rs. 25.23 crores.
Meanwhile 'Kung Fu Panda 3' had an excellent weekend, It grossed Rs. 2.10 crores on Friday, Rs. 3,40 crores on Saturday and Rs. 4.60 crores on Sunday. The total box office collection is Rs. 10.10 crores.
It now needs to be seen if 'Ki & Ka' crosses the 50 crore mark as this week sees the release of Vikram Bhatt's erotic thriller 'Love Games' and the much awaited 'The Jungle Book' along with Pawan Kalyan's 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' which is also being dubbed in Hindi.
